Back in 1991 Christian Baha, the owner of Quadriga investment group, developed a technical analysis program for Austrian clients. Within two years the program became a leading provider of market delivery software. This success led to the development of TeleTrader and Quadriga.
With Quadriga AG, Baha launched his first alternative investment product for private investors on March 8, 1996. Quadriga AG was one of the worlds' first retail hedge funds. From inception to the end of 2002, the Quadriga AG achieved an average annual return of 25 percent net of fees. In 2002, Quadriga received the admission for sale by the the U.S. exchange supervisory authority SEC to offer its funds in the US.
In 2003 Superfund, the new generation of Quadriga's hedge funds was internationally launched.
Since 1996, the company has become an increasingly successful international Hedge Fund specialist. Today Quadriga funds can be found in portfolios of more than 25.000 institutional and private investors worldwide. Quadriga maintains offices all over the world and employs more than 135 people. Christian Baha is CEO of the Quadriga investment group, which manages assets of more than 800 million €.
Quadriga uses a proprietary system designed to ensure minimal correlation to traditional investments. The spectrum of traded instruments consists of 100 futures contracts in both commodity and financial futures. While Quadriga funds can decrease portfolio risk via non- or negative correlation, they can simultaneously enhance overall portfolio performance and therefore improve overall investment quality.
